What is VTSCADA?
Trihedral was founded with a vision for innovation. What started as the development of one of the world’s first reactive programming languages has evolved into VTScada, an award-winning all-in-one HMI and SCADA software platform designed for industrial applications of all sizes. VTSCADA provides easy to update leading-edge features, including integrated version control, real-time configuration, and bi-directional synchronization. VTSCADA has grown consistently across a wide variety of verticals over the last 37 years.
A Legacy of Continuous Growth
Trihedral Engineering Limited, headquartered in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada, has experienced steady growth, expanding to nine offices across three countries and six time zones, while serving customers in over 100 countries.
The Bedford office is not only the hub for VTScada software development but also hosts the engineering department that supports clients throughout North America. In 2015, Trihedral expanded its operations with a new engineering office in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to serving the oil & gas and water & wastewater sectors in western and northern Canada.
Trihedral operates two wholly-owned subsidiaries. Trihedral UK, established in 1998 in Aberdeen, Scotland, focuses on VTScada software development and provides engineering and integration services to European clients. Trihedral, Inc., founded in Orlando, Florida, in 2007, offers engineering and technical sales support across the southeastern United States.
Since its inception, Trihedral, Inc. has grown to include regional sales offices in Houston, Texas; Birmingham, Alabama; Chicago, Illinois; Dayton, Ohio; and Boston, Massachusetts.

Drag and drop tag animations, meters, buttons, switches, symbols, and images effortlessly. Create and edit 3D pipes with just a few clicks. New selection and alignment tools help keep your displays sharp and professional. The VTScada Idea Studio comes with a VTScada Development Runtime License.
Canned SCADA Display Pages
VTScada applications come with pre-configured display pages for trends, alarms, maps, reports, operator notes, and Internet Client monitoring. New applications also include sample displays to inspire you or serve as starting points. Easily add new monitoring sites in minutes using pre-built templates for various RTU brands like Xylem Multismart and MPE Pump Controllers.
A Consistent Experience for Tablets and Smartphones
Historically, operators would monitor and control their SCADA systems only from computers in the main office. Now, they often need to use their SCADA applications on the go—whether it’s troubleshooting PLCs at remote sites, acknowledging alarms from home, or checking levels while traveling. VTSCADA provides quick deployment of various form factors without having to recreate new screens for every application.
Out of the box Navigation
VTScada applications come with built-in navigation tools, like a main menu of display pages, forward and back buttons, and customizable pins for quick access to frequently used pages. Users can open pages in either full-screen or windowed view.
