Upstream Oil and Gas

Integrating CygNet for Production involves setting up a SCADA system for real-time monitoring and control of oil and gas operations. It connects field devices, configures data points, and creates dashboards for production insights, optimizing workflows, enhancing safety, and reducing downtime through automation and analytics.
CygNet Measurement (FMS) is a comprehensive tool designed for managing electronic flow measurement (EFM) data. It facilitates the timely retrieval, storage, validation, estimation, analysis, modification, and delivery of accurate measurement data, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
CygNet Dispatch serves as a complementary application to CygNet Measurement, offering additional functionality by providing field job information that can influence and adjust flow measurement system (FMS) data records. This integration enhances the overall accuracy and management of measurement data, enabling more efficient and informed decision-making in field operations.

Midstream Pipeline

Several components of CygNet help support the integration in pipeline applications including Linepack, General Contract Nomination and Energy Load Forecasting.

CygNet Line Pack is a versatile application integrated with the CygNet SCADA system, designed to estimate key line pack values for different types of materials within pipeline segments. It provides critical calculations for:

Natural Gas: Estimating the volume in thousand cubic feet (MCF) within a pipeline segment at any selected time period.

Supercritical CO2: Calculating the mass in pounds per cubic foot (lb/ft³) within a pipeline segment at any selected time period.

Petroleum Liquids: Determining the volume in thousand cubic feet (MCF) within a pipeline segment at any selected time period.

This tool aids in the management and monitoring of pipeline inventories, enhancing operational efficiency by providing accurate real-time estimations for varying substances transported through the pipeline system.

The CygNet Energy Load Forecasting (ELF) system, integrated with CygNet SCADA, forecasts natural gas load demand using neural networks to model the effects of variables like weather and dates on customer demand. ELF forecasts energy load for user-defined entities (e.g., meters or facilities) to meet demand capacity obligations.

CygNet’s engine in the UIS handles the configuration, training, and forecasting, importing and storing historical and forecast data. The forecasting engine uses this data for neural network training and load forecasting, enhancing accuracy and aiding in demand management.

Off-Shore Towers

Having recently integrated CygNet on offshore platforms with choke valves and manifolds that allowed for automated well testing, MAC integrated CygNet AWT (Automated Well Testing) which provides an easy and intuitive way to support the automation and retrieval of well test records even when the PLC program doesn’t have any automatic logic itself.

Custom Applications using CygNet API

MAC has developed numerous utilities and applications using the CygNet API, integrating seamlessly with a wide range of systems. We offer support for connecting CygNet to any external interface you need, including Spotfire, SQL, AVEVA PI, Azure, and more, ensuring smooth and efficient data flow across your operations.
